Piece #1EXPECTATIONS
We all desire to have a beautiful life journey for which we keep a lot of expectations.
Expectations around our parents, our family, our colleagues, our relatives, our friends,
our customers, our government, our organisation etc.
Have we ever wondered what it takes to fulfill our expectations? Why we land into agony, frustration, anger, hatred, stress etc when expectations are not met? What is the root cause?
Root causes are either or all of the below
Expectations are kept within and not communicated
Expectations are not properly communicated
Expectations are forced
Expectations are assumed to be understood and accepted
Solution?
Expect with Empathy: For example, if we expect our children to score good grades, we should communicate it to them in a constuctive method by assessing and understanding their strengths and help, support them with resources that can bridge the shortfalls / gaps if any. In this way, the outcome may not be as expected but will lead to a healthy bonding and relationship.
Sound Sassy Bite: If there are no expectations there is no disappointment and no consequnetial damages. So, can we keep out expectations?
Answer is yes. But for this we have to practice one simple statement. "I accept as you are"
Pleasant life journey requires plesant relationships. Relationship becomes pleasant if we keep our expectations empathic.
Our mindfulness course has a separate session on the topic Expetations. You can expect a lot in the session. It will be fulfilled. Guaranteed|
